Palisades Newsletter

from the....... President's Desk

Spring is around the corner in the Palisades and many of you are thinking about schools for your children for next year.
As it turns out, we in the Palisades have a number of schools here, educating a wide range of children. I think it is one of the wonderful advantages of living in the Palisades.
We have great schools in this neighborhood - for kids from preschool to high school age.
We have a wonderful public school with a very strong PTA and a new building in its future.
We have great preschools, several fine private schools, a world-renowned school for bright learning-disabled kids and a school that mainstreams the hearing-impaired.
At our March meeting, we will hear a panel discuss city wide educational issues that affect students in the Palisades.
And Key School will present its new building plans to the community.
We have also invited all the schools located in the Palisades to set up tables prior to the meeting with their literature and representatives who would talk to interested families about their programs.
Please come to learn about education and the schools in this community.
I also want to say thank you to all PCA members who have renewed their memberships for this year.
We had a very successful membership campaign and are more able than ever to represent the views of the Palisades community to the city.
Thank you for being so supportive and involved. The strong membership is the reason that we are as effective a presence in the city as we are. The PCA could not do its work without you!
