Sibley Hospital's new "Grand Oaks" assisted living complex will open in August. Apartment selection is to begin in the early summer. For more information, or to join the Priority reservation process, call Joe Chambers, Director of Community Relations, at 243-2350. As an aside, Palisader John Finney remarks that "it is a fitting name, for the small acorn that we saw in architect drawings some two years ago has grown into towering buildings bigger than even hospital administrators anticipated." Sibley Hospital is also notable for having recently acquired an open magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine--a boon to either claustrophobic or larger patients.
